Introduction
The terms set out below constitute a contract establishing the general conditions governing the registration operations of the e-commerce website "CORESTA Meetings". By ordering from our website, the Participant is implying total and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Cancellation Policy
Registered Participants have the right to cancel their participation.
Cancellations must be made in writing and sent by email to the CORESTA Secretariat.
Registration fees are non-refundable.

Secure On-line Transactions
Secure online payment of the registration fee is available using the Stripe system.
Your banking information cannot be accessed by CORESTA. It is transmitted directly to Stripe and is protected by their security systems.

Information Concerning the Meeting
The website gives the essential information concerning the meeting, registration, and corresponding registration fee.
Contractual Documents
The nature of the contract shall be established by the following documents, in decreasing order of priority:
these general terms and conditions;
the duly completed registration form comprising the acceptance of the general terms and conditions and featuring the information required for the identification of the Participant (last name, first name, postal address for invoicing, phone number, email address), and the Participant's bank details.
Acceptance of Registration
The registration form, once validated by the Participant shall constitute an unconditional acceptance of these general terms and conditions.
The automatic recording procedures used on the website shall be considered as providing valid proof of the registration contract and of the date when it was drawn up.
Confirmation by Email
The following contractual details shall be the subject of a confirmation email to be sent no later than the time of registration and receipt of payment:
Participant's registration number;
total value of the registration;
method of payment.
Registration Fees
Prices are given in Euros inclusive of VAT.
Prices shall be those in force on the day the registration is made, and shall take account of the VAT in force on that day. Any change in the rate of VAT shall be automatically applied to prices, if applicable.

The validation of the registration by means of the banker's card number and expiry date shall be deemed to constitute agreement to pay the cost of the order inclusive of VAT, if applicable.
Card details are processed according to the terms and conditions of the Stripe payment system.
The cards accepted are those mentioned on the Stripe website.
Personal Details
The information the Participant is asked to provide is needed for the processing of their order.
In accordance with the French law of 6 January 1978 on "Information Technology and Civil Liberties", the Participant has the right to access, change, correct and delete their personal data. To exercise this right, please contact the CORESTA Secretariat at the email ndetervarent@coresta.org
Encryption
The encryption methods and services used for secure payments are those used by the Stripe payment system and are authorised and in accordance with current legislation.
Electronic Signatures
The validation of the registration form and the procedures for authenticating messages and protecting their integrity shall be considered to be an electronic signature having the same legal validity as a hand-written signature.
The databases kept by CORESTA in conditions of appropriate security, shall be considered as evidence of communications, orders and payments made by the two parties to the contract.
Order forms and invoices shall be stored in a reliable and secure electronic storage and retrieval system which is capable of providing faithful and permanent copies in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 1348 of the French Civil Code.
Integral Nature of Contracts
In the event of one of the general terms and conditions is declared inapplicable for any reason, this shall not be deemed to affect the application of the other provisions of the general terms and conditions, and the provision which is declared inapplicable shall be replaced by another one which is as close as possible to the one deemed inapplicable.
Responsibility
Neither CORESTA nor the Participant shall be deemed responsible for any failure to fulfill the terms of the contract caused by application of force majeure beyond their control including - but not to the exclusion of other factors - war, civil commotion, insurrection, disruption of communications, problems associated with import or export of goods, strikes, lock-outs, lock-downs, shortages, fire, earthquake, storms or floods.
Applicable Legislation - Resolution of Disputes
This contract shall be subject to the provisions of French law. The resolution of disputes shall be deemed to be within the competence of the judicial authorities in Paris (France).
Insurance and Liability
CORESTA will not be held responsible in any way whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity of any kind involving persons or property during the meeting. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance. CORESTA cannot be held liable for any hindrance or disruption of meeting proceedings arising from political, social or economic events or any other unforeseen incidents beyond its control. Registration of a Participant entails acceptance of these conditions.
